Lil Big Things is a website and search growth agency for B2B tech companies. We design and build websites, and we help them get found on Google and cited by AI answer engines like ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity.
We are a fully distributed team working with clients across North America and Europe, and a Certified Webflow Partner.
The Role
We're hiring a Content Writer (SEO/AEO) intern. 3 months, paid, remote, with a job offer at the end for the right person.
This is a writer seat. You will write long-form posts for our own blog on lilbigthings.com, and we will teach you how search and AI search decide which pages to rank and cite.
We care more about how you write than where you studied. Portfolio over degree.
What you will do
- Write long-form blog posts (2,000 to 3,500 words) from detailed briefs that give you the keyword, outline, and examples to research.
- Research how real B2B and SaaS companies structure their websites, and turn that into clear, opinionated explanations with named examples.
- Learn and apply Answer Engine Optimization: question-based headings, answer-first sections, FAQ blocks, and verified sources, so posts get cited by ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity.
- Fact-check every statistic against its primary source before it ships.
- Work in Notion, Google Drive and Slack with our founder, editor, designers and Webflow team, and join a weekly content sync.
What we are looking for
- You have written and published at least three articles anywhere: a personal blog, Medium, a college publication, LinkedIn. Share the links in your application.
- You teach yourself things. Tell us about one skill you learned on your own in the last year, and how.
- You are curious about how websites are built and how AI search works.
Nice to have
- Prior SEO experience. A plus, not a requirement: we will train you on our method.
- Writing about B2B, SaaS or technology.
